Christmas and Easter Goers
I know many people find Christmas and Easter the most important church days. Which is quite an interesting concept. The irony of these holidays is that they were made into holidays but in all honesty, much of the activities have nothing to do with Jesus. I was just being silly and saying stuff to I guess provoke people, as usual, but I said, "you know, I think it's foolish we have egg hunting on Easter. We should instead hunt for hidden crucified Jesus." Many people found that statement offensive, but at the same time, wouldn't that give the holiday more of a meaning? What's common between a bunny that lays eggs, a decorated tree with glowing lights, and Jesus? One more irony of these holidays is that, they just trivialize all other days. Do Christians really need two days of the year to symbolize their entire religion? I again, doing what I always do, I said, "To me, everyday is Easter. I don't need a single day of the year." Maybe I should just stop thinking.
