Long Update

Hi, howdy howdy. Ok so what have I been up to? Well, I've been:

1.)OB rotation
I get to assist in labor and delivery, massage fundus, teach new moms how to breast feed. Examine vaginas for infection and lacerations and breasts for anything from engorgement to infections. I also get to change diapers and make babies cry. And monitor fetal heart rates. In essence, it's pretty neato and i get to do a lot on the floor. But really too much estrogen.
I put in my request to have my internship in the NICU or Cardiac floor. Not that I really like babies that much, but something so small is much easier to handle than a fat old man. I'd rather wipe a baby's butt than a fat old man's butt.

2.)Motorcycle
Yeah, I've had it for like 3 weeks now, but I try to ride it every day before it gets too cold/wet. Needs quite a bit of maintenance. I tried changing the oil but my little wrench can't take it off. I need a ratchet wrench or something bigger. Tires are quite a bit worn down, I'll replace those. This is only my temporary bike until I get more money. My parents are urging to finance me a car but I keep turning them down. I might try to get an old used car like Jwang's. I'm saving up for a camera too. This way when I go to seattle or around post, I can show you all the silly stuff there is.

3.)Assignment
I got my assignment to be at Madigan General. Meaning, I am going to stay here until I deploy or something cool comes up. So I guess I'll be bonding with my fellow seattle buddies quite more.

4.)Texas Trip
Fun. I haven't played basketball like that in forever. The best part was, everyone was there. Even Tracy-Mike. David is still a beast. I was about to cramp after the 4th game. I wish I were back in Texas. Jackie had a cool game too. Catch phrase I think that's what it was called. Every time I go back to Texas, I realize how I have the greatest friends. I barely can call anyone here really my friends. I lost a lot of trust in people, not that I had much to start with. And being away from home for so long, I was feeling quite distant. So, going back home is always good, even if there are bumps here and there. In the last two months, I have really found out who my true friends are and who are not. Sadly, I don't have many friends but I like it that way.

5.)Joint Commission
Ok if you ever worked in a hospital, you know that these guys are the ones that take and give money to you. So basically students have been kicked out of the hospital for the week. So what I'm doing now is spending my days in the classroom and tomorrow I get to do field training. Boy am I excited (sarcasm). I love carry 250 pound litters. The worst part is the mannequins are unbalanced. They have about 80% of their weight in the chest and so the people who are carrying the head side break their backs while the leg side have it easy. Well I told my instructor how I needed to get my vehicle registered so he's letting me go with the first group and said I can go and not come back for lunch. Yeah, I'll be home early tomorrow.

6.)Texas Exes
Yeah, Daniel and I are going to try to watch the game with the seattle Texas Exes. Haha well we have nothing else to do and I wanted to see the game. And what's with Vince Young? Seriously, I never thought he'll ever be like this. I knew he would have hard times but he's seriously having some mental issues. I dunno if I blogged this before but I know I said to somebody that Fossy Whittaker is going to be a pleasant surprise. Adrian peterson is beastly. I've always been a fan of his but my goodness, he's team Minnesota, just like how he was team Oklahoma. I won't lie I was rooting for OU back when he was playing for them. In anycase, Texas is moving on up. Cowboys are looking great. And Mavericks is well, rebuilding year.
