Ok so long story short, my co-worker is Korean and asked me to attend her church. I went and it's kinda awkward but I guess it always is, especially with me. You see, she told me it was El Paso Korean Baptist church, and whether she said center or not, I do not know. So I google it and drive there. Well it turns out I was at Korean First Baptist. I go in, and I'm talking to the people and they don't know the person I'm talking about. They're cooking Korean food and having me sit down and I'm talking to the pastor. I'm like, this is way to awkward, I'm going to just call her. Turns out I was at the wrong one. But yeah, I don't know how she convinced me to go to Saturday service which was 3 hours long. They asked me to go back tomorrow, I thought I might as well since I have nothing else to do and I might as well make some friends.
There's this housekeeping Korean lady who asked me to go to her church last week. It's a Korean Presbyterian church and it's bilingual. I agreed not knowing I was schedule to work that weekend. She was like, you gotta come there's plenty of people your age and college students. I told her, "I'm old, I'm 25 and graduate from college and everything." Of course she laughed at me, but she basically whored off her church members and told me there's plenty of girls my age. How true this may be, I may never know. I'll probably go the next Sunday I have off.
The whole time I was thinking how the last time I really went to church on a regular basis is when Carolyn would drag me out every Sunday. Also, I thought I spaced out a lot during an english sermon, but a korean sermon, I barely recall it. The whole time I'm thinking how I'm going to blog everything and I start remember things and then when everyone chuckles, I'll laugh too just to look like I was paying attention. Made me realize how much I missed church. I know my mom would say the same thing about the girls. "Too bad all the girls are ugly."
