Good times. Had fun in Houston. The party was fun and I'm ready to start the new year right. After seeing my friends, I get a little depressed from leaving. Who doesn't when they realize the fun is over and it's time for work. Fung lifted my spirits today while taking me to the airport. We were talking about how it's hard to stay in touch with people back home. And she said that she sees me try and that's all the matters. That was important for me to hear. I'm glad my friends do appreciate the bit of effort I show. Then we digressed. We started talking about where I was going to live after my two years were done and all that. And I brought up how besides my parents' place, Houston and Austin are the only places I would consider. I told her how I was dumb and in love with this girl from high school and when we broke up, I lost everything so Dallas was out of the question. She briefly remembered that story but it made sense to her why she never remembered me with anyone. I had no friends my sophomore year except for scott. By the end of my junior year, I met most of his high school friends and had a group who I could call my friends. And I really appreciate my friends because I don't make good first impression or any for that matter. Ironically, I judge people almost solely on first impressions. To this day, my friends still tell me how I'm a jerk and an asshole. But that's how I know they're my true friends. Glad to have those who think that as my friends. Y'all got me through my lowest and loneliest of times.
And yes, I'm still working on my humility. Don't think I have made much progress.

Sounds like you've made some progress, despite what you think. I'm glad I made you feel better.
Also, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia IS great!
I also realized that I missed out on a whole month of your blogging when I was studying, and could have known a lot of what you told me...oops.
It is really good. I really like the Mac character. I guess I see a bit of myself in him.
